Landmarks for sustainability
Conference
Conferences and seminars allow in-depth discussions between Network partners. Network members are committed to provide each other feedback on operational and educational experiences and challenges they are facing while planning or implementing sustainable campus design. From the best practice sustainability cases principles for action will be developed.
Landmarks
The network strives to translate research results, new technologies or new instruments relevant for sustainability into practical applications in their campus projects and to demonstrate innovative concepts. Exemplary sustainable solutions, so-called landmarks, are a major outcome of the network. The network’s crosscutting issues primarily include energy use in buildings, infrastructure, transportation and linking campus development with sustainability education.
Dissemination
In order to reach a broader audience, a modular manual including both description of the landmarks (best practice cases) as well as guidelines for sustainable campuses will be published and actualized annually. This standard publication on the development of sustainable campuses is used for communication and multiplication purposes.
