Brad Badelt is the acting assistant director of sustainability with the City of Vancouver. He has been involved in a diverse range of sustainability projects with the City, including sea level rise planning, extreme heat mapping and overseeing the green demolition program. He started his local government career 15 years ago, working in green stormwater management and groundwater protection. Brad has a master’s degree in water resources engineering from the University of Guelph and recently co-instructed a graduate-level course in Education for Sustainability at UBC. An avid cyclist, he spends most of his weekends exploring Vancouver’s parks with his family.
