We are delighted to announce that ISCN 2019, our 13th annual conference, will be hosted by the University of São Paulo in Brazil!
The University of São Paulo (USP) is a public university, maintained by the State of São Paulo and affiliated with the State Secretariat of Economic, Scientific and Technological Development. Various world rankings, created to measure the quality of universities according to various criteria, particularly those related to scientific productivity, have widely recognized the talent and dedication of USP professors, students and employees.
Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have a unique role and responsibility for the future and for driving the development of a sustainable society. HEIs are charged with the task of fostering sustainability in the leaders of tomorrow, developing solutions and methods to address a sustainable future and ensuring that we contribute knowledge to society. HEIs must also ensure that our everyday operations and practices are consistent with a sustainable future and we work to holistically integrate sustainability into mission of the university and our daily tasks.
The aim of the 2019 ISCN Conference is to emphasize the power that collaborative partnerships can have in the role HEIs play in progressing sustainable development. This year we will both curate sessions and crowdsource your ideas to provide the opportunity for your projects to be highlighted. Through active participation and engagement, more ISCN members and guests will contribute to the sharing of knowledge, culture, models and methods to further advance our commitment to the development of sustainability. The benefits of sharing experiences will build and expand relationships and networks of experts within ISCN and encourage continuing exchanges throughout the year.
Don’t miss out on your chance to showcase your work at the ISCN 2019 conference on 11-14 June at the University of São Paulo!
The theme of this year’s conference is Partnerships for Progress. This year we will “crowdsource” content to be presented at the conference. We want to hear from you on what is most pressing for you right now – topics may relate to any aspect of sustainability in higher education institutions.
Please visit the abstract submittal system on the ISCN website to submit your abstracts for conference proposals (including oral or poster presentations).
Abstracts are due by 31 January 2019.
